SERIES ONE 5/22/15

#6-Hobby Elementary

I can't say it was the worst thing because I learned so many valuable lessons. Family, friends, girls, money, business, influence.  My talk, my walk, my character were being formed, the good, the bad and the ugly.

looking back I guess I was pretty lucky!

#7- Daycare Salesman
I was glad to get out of the old neighborhood though it certainly made me faster, tougher and very conscious of the power of money.  Money got protection, money got the girls.  There was none at home but there was no shortage of coin with this group of kids.

#24 - Going to Texas
There were only 5 that knew I was pregnant.  I know Daddy wasn't happy about me marrying Steve and running off to Texas.  At least they wouldn't know about the baby.  Nobody would ever know, I thought.

I sure never imagined this day would come.

#3 - The Little Family
Bobby Ray the Houston Police Officer. Mary Ann the bookkeeper.  Boyd Allan, the first adopted son.  Times were tough and raising a son was harder than they expected and much more costly, but love filled the Little's home. They never dreamed of having two.

#2 - Kentucky Girl
She was tired of only being known as the Preacher's daughter.  1965 Ashland, Kentucky was just another small town miles from the real action that was going down out west.  Steve was the one who could get her there, at least get her out of Kentucky.

We didn't go looking for trouble but we certainly weren't going to stand by and have one of our girls laughed at and called white trash.  Damn sure not by some daddy's car driving punk. It was a bloody brawl allright.(WARNING: This story carries an R rating)

Why would someone give away their baby? Why did they give me to the Littles?  Would they be coming back for me?  Who am I?  What do I do so the Littles won't want to give me away too?  I'm not even their real son or Boyd's real brother.  Throw away baby.

An American soldier traveling the world and being equipped to protect and serve this great country.  Serving in Turkey when the American hostages were being held captive in Iran.  Not a good time to be hanging out with a hash dealer with wads of cash.

#5 - My Brother
His first assignment in life, "Always look out for your little brother."  He was born and adopted 4 years before me from a different family. With red hair, blue eyes and pale skin I guess I should have noticed. I knew he loved me a lot!

#58 - Hollywood Bus
A trip from the Beverly Center back to the Hollywood YMCA in 1985. On the wrong bus at midnight that ends up taking me to one

of the most gang run areas in Los Angeles, forcing me off to wait for the right bus.
